Your Ayurvedic Archetype (dosha) is Pitta
Ayurveda is an ancient Indian health system that looks to optimize healthy by holistically caring for the body, mind, and spirit. Within Ayurveda, unique energy patterns called doshas create your experience. When your dosha is imbalanced, you feel out of whack. When your dosha is balanced, you feel energized and inspired.

Pitta is made up of fire with just a little bit of water. This dosha is all about digestion and transformation.
When Pitta is balanced, you might feel focused, determined, and action-oriented. You have clarity on your goals. While anger may arise, you can bring it into balance with ease.
When Pitta is imbalanced, you might be prone to anger and considered "hot-tempered" or overly critical. Physical imbalances include fever, loose stools, rashes, and inflammation.
If Pitta is your predominant dosha or you're experiencing Pitta-like symptoms, here are some strategies to help you and balance this dosha.
Sleep
Pitta-dominant women do best with 7-8 hours of sleep. Though you might like to stay up late, remember you need rest for cellular repair! So wind down at least one hour before bedtime by eliminating screens, work, the news, or anything else that can be activating. Go to bed by 10 PM.
If Pitta is imbalanced, you may wake up feeling hot, sweaty, and irritated.
Food
Avoid spicy and heating foods, as they can cause Pitta to become aggravated. Instead, eat cooling foods like mint, fennel, cucumber, coconut oil, and coconut water. Reduce alcohol and coffee, which are also heating. It's helpful to get on a routine with your meals so you eat at the same time each day.
Movement
Get away from the screen and get out in the fresh air. Take a hike, jog, moonlit walk, or a refreshing swim.
